Merritt Westbrook - Marketing Director
Merritt, a veteran of the U.S. Navy and graduate of Hofstra University in Long Island, New York, is also a 45-year veteran of the interior finish construction industry. He began his career in the 1950's in the metropolitan New York area where he worked his way up through the ranks to Vice President of Phillips Interiors.
Merritt came to Dallas in 1979 as a partner for Terstep, Inc. to do the interior construction of the 10-story Dallas Public Library project. In 1982, he helped found MAVCO Construction Co. and as President and Partner helped build one of the largest successful interior construction firms in the Dallas area.
In 1998, Merritt joined his son, Steve, at Highland Builders, Inc. where he is currently managing all aspects of the sales and marketing division.
